MY PROUDEST DAY

Today, I had the enormous honour of being made a Bard of Gorsedh Kernow.
My Bardic name is ‘Lanyon’ - a name that has special meaning to me: my Great Great Grandparents and their family lived at Lanyon Farm, so it was always a special place to my lovely Gran; my much-loved & missed brother Julian proposed to his future wife at Lanyon Quoit, & it was somewhere that was special to us when we were boys. I am also the site monitor for Lanyon Quoit for CASPN (Cornish Ancient Sites Protection Network).
Here’s a photo of me in my Bardic robe & headdress - and Lanyon Quoit. Such a special day. Congratulations to the other 21 new Bards.
